3. Guide on How to Use PAIA

The South African Human Rights Commission (SAHRC) has compiled a guide to assist requesters. This guide is available from the SAHRC.

5. Request Procedure

To request access to records, complete the prescribed form (Form C) and submit it to our Information Officer. A request fee may apply.

6. Grounds for Refusal

Access to certain records may be refused in terms of PAIA, including records containing personal information of third parties, trade secrets, or information that could endanger safety.
